Baobab is a fruit tree, native to Africa, Australia and Arabia. Its fruit is the only fruit in the world that naturally dries on the branch.
We use tapioca capsules rather than HPMC capsules (hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose). HPMC is made by reacting cellulose with the chemicals methyl chloride and propylene oxide in a mixture of petrochemical solvents (toluene).
We never use coloured or opaque capsules because we believe that these are unnecessary and potentially toxic to the gut. We also believe that customers should be able to see the ingredients inside the capsule for total ‘transparency’.
