Vitamin D3 is naturally produced in response to sunlight, yet many people don't get enough year-round. It helps your body absorb calcium, while vitamin K2 helps direct it to where it's needed most. An essential daily supplement, as recommended by the NHS, without synthetic ingredients, unnecessary fillers or bulking agents.

Description

Many people don’t get enough strong sunlight year-round, yet vitamin D remains essential for maintaining healthy bones, immune function and mood.

Our new and improved Vitamin D3 & K2 builds on one of our most-loved daily essentials, thoughtfully reformulated by our pharmacists to deliver vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 in carefully considered doses.

This combines vitamin D3, the “sunshine vitamin”, with vitamin K2 as Trans-Menaquinone-7 (MK-7), the most bioavailable and body-identical form of vitamin K2.

Vitamin D3 helps the body absorb calcium, while vitamin K2 helps direct it to where it is needed most, including bones and teeth.

We've selected the form and dose of each nutrient to reflect how they work together in the body.

A simple, daily supplement, created with purpose.

The science behind

We believe science should be understandable.

That's why we want you to know what's in our formulas, why we've chosen each ingredient, and the research behind it.

For Vitamin D3 & K2, every ingredient has been carefully selected by our pharmacists and supported by published research.

And we go beyond simply testing for nutrients. We also test for key bioactive compounds naturally found within our ingredients.

Marine Algae (Vitamin D3)

Vitamin D3 is one of the most widely researched nutrients in human clinical studies. Published, peer-reviewed research has explored its role in supporting:

  • Immune function
  • Bones & teeth
  • Emotional wellbeing

The studies can be reviewed here

Parsley (Vitamin K2)

Vitamin K2 is supported by a large body of human clinical research. Studies have investigated its role in:

  • Bone mineralisation and maintenance of healthy bones
  • Calcium utilisation alongside vitamin D3

The studies can be reviewed here

All studies were randomised and placebo-controlled and published in peer-reviewed journals. These studies used the same dosage and formulation as our product.

BONES

Vitamin D3 is essential for maintaining strong, healthy bones. It supports bone remineralisation and helps maintain structural integrity throughout life. Adequate vitamin D3 levels are important for maintaining strength and mobility, particularly as we age.

IMMUNITY

Vitamin D3 plays a key role in supporting the body’s natural immune defences. It helps activate and regulate key immune cells involved in identifying and responding to infection, forming part of the body’s first line of defence.

MOOD

Vitamin D3 levels and mood are closely linked. Vitamin D3 is involved in pathways that influence neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, which play a role in how we feel day to day. When levels are low, it can signal reduced sunlight exposure, which may be reflected in changes to mood and emotional balance.

Bone strength declines after 30*, so making Vitamin D part of your daily routine is a great way to invest in your bone health for the future.

Formulated with purpose. Supported by science.

“Vitamin D3 and K2 are widely used together, but the difference is in how they’re combined. We’ve focused on the form,  source and dose of each nutrient to reflect how they work together in the body.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes Vitamin D deficiency?

Vitamin D deficiency is most commonly linked to limited sunlight exposure. The body produces vitamin D when skin is exposed to sunlight, so people who spend a lot of time indoors or cover most of their skin may be at higher risk.

Demand for vitamin D can also increase during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and periods of growth such as childhood.

Certain medical conditions, including Crohn’s disease, Coeliac disease, and kidney or liver disease, may also affect how vitamin D is processed and absorbed.

When to take Vitamin D?

Vitamin D is best taken in the morning with food. This helps build a routine and may improve consistency.

It is also recommended to take vitamin D with a meal containing healthy fats, such as eggs, avocado, nuts or seeds, as vitamin D is a fat-soluble nutrient and is better absorbed alongside dietary fat.

Food sources of vitamin D

Natural dietary sources of vitamin D include:

  • Oily fish such as salmon, mackerel, sardines and trout
  • Egg yolk, red meat and liver
  • Cod liver oil (not suitable during pregnancy)

Some foods are also fortified with vitamin D, including certain cereals, margarines and infant formulas. Always check packaging for details.

Do I need vitamin D?

In the UK, around 1 in 6 people are estimated to have low vitamin D levels due to limited sunlight exposure and time spent indoors.

Low vitamin D levels may be associated with:

  • Muscle pain
  • Bone pain
  • Increased sensitivity to pain
  • Tingling or pins-and-needles sensations
  • Muscle weakness, particularly in the upper arms or thighs
  • Changes in walking pattern due to muscle weakness
  • Muscle twitches, tremors or spasms
  • A history of fractures
  • Severe deficiency cases may include bowed legs

If you are experiencing any of the above, you may benefit from assessing your vitamin D intake with a healthcare professional.

What is Vitamin D3 & K2 made from?

Our Vitamin D3 is sourced from marine algae and our Vitamin K2 is sourced from parsley leaves. This is combined with a natural Baobab Acacia prebiotic blend.

Vitamin D3 is the same form naturally produced by the body in response to sunlight. Using a source-derived form helps ensure high bioavailability without unnecessary synthetic carriers.

Baobab Acacia provides naturally occurring fibre and nutrients, including vitamin C, potassium, carbohydrates and phosphorus. It acts as a prebiotic, helping to nourish beneficial gut bacteria and support digestive balance.

How long does vitamin D take to work?

Vitamin D levels may begin to improve within a few weeks of consistent use. However, it can take up to 3 months of regular supplementation to reach adequate levels.

Consistency is key to allowing the body to absorb and utilise vitamin D effectively.

How much vitamin D3 and K2 should I take?

Vitamin D3 and K2 work best when taken in balanced, appropriate daily amounts.

Our formula provides 1000 IU (25µg) of vitamin D3 and 75µg of vitamin K2 per dose, designed to deliver effective daily support for bone health and calcium utilisation.

As with all supplements, it’s important to stay within recommended intakes. Long-term excessive vitamin D intake may lead to unwanted calcium build-up in the body.

Why have you added Vitamin K2 to Vitamin D3?

We’ve increased the strength of our Vitamin D3, so we’ve added Vitamin K2 to complement the higher dose.

Vitamin D3 increases the absorption of calcium, while Vitamin K2 helps direct it to where it's needed most. Combining the two provides more complete support for maintaining healthy bones.

Our Vitamin K2 is in the MK-7 form, selected for its bioavailability and strong research base.

Can Vitamin D cause constipation?

Vitamin D taken at recommended levels should not cause constipation. Maintaining hydration, movement and a balanced diet is important for digestive health. Excessive intake may increase the risk of side effects, including constipation.

Can children under 12 take this product?

This product is not recommended for children under 12 due to capsule size.
