How to take

Adults (18+): Take ONE or TWO capsules each day with food. We always recommend that you follow a healthy and balanced diet. Do not exceed the stated dose.

Is Ashwagandha part of the Nightshade family?

The short answer is no, ashwagandha is not a member of the nightshade family. While both ashwagandha and nightshade plants belong to the order Solanales, they are in different families. Ashwagandha belongs to the family Withania somnifera, while nightshade plants are in the family Solanaceae.

Nightshade plants contain alkaloids, a group of compounds that can be toxic in high amounts.

Ashwagandha does not contain toxic alkaloids. It is generally considered safe when consumed in appropriate amounts, and has been used medicinally for centuries without any reported adverse effects.
Do I take Ashwagandha in the morning or night?

Ashwagandha can be taken at any time, however we advise that this supplement is taken with food.
Can I take Ashwagandha and levothyroxine together?

Yes, studies have shown people with a lowered thyroid function received benefits from Ashwagandha with increased serum TSH and T3 and T4 levels. We advise that as levothyroxine is taken on an empty stomach in the morning, and Ashwagandha should ideally be taken at least 30 to 60 minutes after taking levothyroxine.
Can Ashwagandha be taken with HRT?

Yes, Ashwagandha can be taken with your HRT to help alleviate some of the symptoms experienced during menopause, it can help with stress and anxiety associated with hormonal changes.
Can antidepressants cause low libido?

Yes, a common side effect of many anti-depressants is low libido. Antidepressants often increase serotonin levels to help with mood regulation. While this is beneficial for reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety, higher serotonin levels can inhibit sexual desire and function by reducing dopamine, which is involved in pleasure and motivation, including sexual arousal.
What is ginkgo biloba used for?

Ginkgo biloba promotes blood flow, circulation, and cognitive function. When complemented with fenugreek, saffron and ashwagandha, it can help reduce stress, increase sex drive and arousal. Due its positive effects on circulation, sometimes some people can experience tingling sensations around the body.
What does Ashwagandha do?

Ashwagandha is a powerful adaptogenic which means it has the ability to reduce stress and anxiety by lowering cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and has hormone-balancing properties. This can help increase sex drive and improve arousal, reducing anxiety surrounding sex. There are some studies highlighting that Ashwagandha helps to promote a better sleep cycle due to its stress relieving properties.
How much Ashwagandha is ideal?

There are many studies that support the tolerability of Ashwagandha at varying doses, between 250mg to 1250mg a day. We have formulated our unique, high-potency Ashwadisiac at 150mg, as research has shown this is an optimal dose to achieve therapeutic benefit.
How long does it take for Ashwagandha to work?

The duration of time for the effects of Ashwagandha to be seen varies between individuals. In general, we found that within one to two weeks of consistent use, people start to see the benefits of Ashwagandha.
Does Ashwagandha help with weight loss?

As Ashwagandha decreases cortisol levels it can help to promote weight loss. As cortisol (stress hormone) is a big contributor to weight gain and cravings for high-calorie, sugary foods, and fat storage.
